About Me…

Hi, I'm Holly, the main florist and founder of Flowers from the Glade!

I started Flowers from the Glade- an eco-conscious florist and micro flower farm- after training at The Bath Flower School. I cover a large area across Wales and the West of England, with a base in Bristol and one on my family farm just on the other side of the Brecon Beacons.

My journey started with a deep love for nature ingrained in me from an early age by my mother – the texture of moss, the movement of wild grasses, the shape of branches against the sky and the untamed beauty of blooming natural landscape. Inspired particularly by a stunning woodland Glade filled with ferns, bluebells and dappled sunshine, I set out to create wild, organic floral designs, focusing on seasonal availability and sustainable floristry practices.

Now in 2025 it's my biggest year yet! We're expanding the flower patch and flowering more weddings than ever. It's the year of colour and I can't wait to get stuck into some seriously beautiful briefs.

The Farm…

Our family farm in West Wales played a huge role in my inspiration when I started the business and still does in the shape of every design I create. As a child I would play in the streams, climb trees and walk through what felt like magical woodlands. Today, I split each week spending half of my time surrounded by our animals, growing and tending to my own cut flower patch and hiking across the welsh countryside.

When I started floristry one of my main goals was to use as many British grown, native blooms as possible. I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to turn the kitchen garden into a cut-flower patch! I couldn’t wait and got to work growing my own chemical free welsh flowers, that now make an appearance in so many of your weddings and events.

Our main focus is always to provide a gorgeous, immersive floral experience, using high quality flowers and prioritising unusual, seasonal British blooms. I take a bespoke approach throughout the design process, providing guidance and tailoring each detail to individual requirements.

Sustainable floristry techniques and mechanics are also a must! Therefore I never use floral foam or single use plastics, opting for recyclable and reusable packaging. Where possible the flowers are carefully selected from local growers to reduce airmiles and any waste is composted to go straight back onto the farm.

Approach and Ethos…

By prioritising locally sourced materials and taking inspiration from nature, my work is always organic and reflects the season. I chose to be led by the shapes and textures of native flowers and foliage to create wild, romantic designs.

I love to create rambling, immersive installations that blend seamlessly back into their rural surroundings, creating magical settings, perfect for any woodland or outdoor event. Equally, I love to bring that same untamed structure inside, to bring a space to life, and provide pleasure to those who experience it.
